When in trouble: When in doubt Act crazy and Begin to shout. --end logo-- Female serial killers account for only 8% of all American serial killers, but American females account for 76% of all female serial killers worldwide. The female serial killer also has different methods and motives for killing. [The total is over 100 - some overlap.] Methods include: Poisoning - 80% Shooting - 20% Bludgeoning - 16% Suffocation - 16% Stabbing - 11% Drowning - 5% Motives include: Money- 74% Control - 13% Enjoyment - 11% Sex - 10% Drugs, cult involvement or to cover up feelings of inadequacy - 24% There are few researchers of female serial killers. Functors, Applicative Functors and Monoids - Learn You a Haskell for Great Good!

Functionally Solving Problems Table of contents A Fistful of Monads Haskell's combination of purity, higher order functions, parameterized algebraic data types, and typeclasses allows us to implement polymorphism on a much higher level than possible in other languages. We don't have to think about types belonging to a big hierarchy of types. Instead, we think about what the types can act like and then connect them with the appropriate typeclasses. An Int can act like a lot of things. It can act like an equatable thing, like an ordered thing, like an enumerable thing, etc. Typeclasses are open, which means that we can define our own data type, think about what it can act like and connect it with the typeclasses that define its behaviors. Because of that and because of Haskell's great type system that allows us to know a lot about a function just by knowing its type decl...

Poll: Thumb Accessible Modifier Keys - What the Daily WTF?

preload-content: Poll: Thumb Accessible Modifier Keys General Keith (Sprouts keep me both green and) — 2014-06-05T08:11:04Z — #1 As a programmer, I find myself having to use modifier keys, especially Ctrl and Shift , approximately seven billion times per day. Annoyingly, these keys are only accessible using my smallest fingers (pinkies), while I have two big lumbering thumbs sharing a single key between them. In fact, judging by the wear pattern on my spacebar, I'm not using my left thumb at all. I propose adding additional modifier keys below the space bar: Keyboard Thumb Modifiers.png 1313x410 57.3 KB This would allow me to keep the fingers of both hands firmly around the home keys, reducing travel and offloading some of the pinky work onto my freeloading thumbs. The keys would need to be recessed to allow normal use of the spacebar, but ot...
