He is two years old and mostly house broken but would benefit from a home with a LARGE doggy door as he prefers to do his business outside. He is a warm climate animal, so would not do well as an outside animal in the Oregon winters. He would also do best with an all-male household or a home with which any females are no longer capable of menstruating so as to reduce the likelihood of Ben marking his territory indoors. But we will come back to that. . . I considered rehoming Ben when he was young as he had a bad habit of rooting for milk from where he thought I should have nipples. Which young c...

Mozilla Menu Mission About Products Get Involved Home > Mozilla Security > Security Advisories > Announced December 2, 2014 Reporter Kent Howard Impact High Products Firefox, Firefox ESR, Thunderbird Fixed in Firefox 34 Firefox ESR 31.3 Thunderbird 31.3 Security researcher Kent Howard reported an Apple issue present in OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) where log files are created by the CoreGraphics framework of OS X in the /tmp local directory. These log files contain a record of all inputs into Mozilla programs during their operation. In versions of OS X from versions 10.6 through 10.9, the CoreGraphics had this logging ability but it was turned off by default. In OS X 10.10, this logging was turned on by default for some applications that use a custom memory allocator, such as jemalloc , because of an initialization bug in the framework. This issue has bee...

About Me Projects Articles /misc Table of Contents C Pre-Processor Magic The humble #define If-statements Pattern Matching Cast to bool!! (and negation) Iterators Forcing CPP to make multiple passes Turning multiple expansion passes into recursion Turning recursion into an iterator Learning More The C Pre-Processor (CPP) is the somewhat basic macro system used by the C programming language to implement features such as #include and #define which allow very simple text-substitutions to be carried out at compile time. In this article we abuse the humble #define to implement if-statements and iteration. Before we begin, a disclaimer: these tricks, while perfectly valid C, should not be considered good development practice and should almost certainly not be used for "real work". That said it can totally be used for fun home-automation projects ... Most C programmers...

.blog 02 December 2014 by Anthony Eden — Status This past Monday, we experienced a major volumetric DDoS attack which caused significant downtime for our site and the sites of our customers. The attack included sustained traffic of up to 25gb/s and about 50 million packets per second sent to our servers. I am very sorry that this outage happened and had such sustained and wide reaching effects. We have assembled here what we know about the attack, what we did to mitigate it, and the steps we are taking to mitigate similar attacks. The following post-mortem is a collaboration from the entire DNSimple team. On December 1st, 19:09 UTC, the DNSimple team was alerted by Sensu that the dnsimple.com web site was not resolving. Based on those alerts, our status page was automatically updated to indicate a major outage on our web site and redirector. At 19:19 UTC, we put up a n...
