Chapter 9 Interprocess Communication under LISP The REMOTE Package Connecting Servers and Clients Remote Evaluations Remote Objects The WIRE Package Untagged Data Tagged Data Making Your Own Wires Out-Of-Band Data by William Lott and Bill Chiles CMUCL offers a facility for interprocess communication (IPC) on top of using Unix system calls and the complications of that level of IPC. There is a simple remote-procedure-call (RPC) package build on top of TCP/IP sockets. 9.1 The REMOTE Package The remote package provides simple RPC facility including interfaces for creating servers, connecting to already existing servers, and calling functions in other Lisp processes. The routines for establishing a connection between two processes, create-request-server and connect-to-remote-server , return wire structures. A wire maintains the current state of a connection...

Automates as much as possible of the process of downloading + compiling dependencies and compiling static bitcoinds. This is obviously dangerous. I've written various hash checks into the thing, and the downloading steps at least are cached. Can be run as a script: $ ./ak47.sh For those who like to touch workpieces while the lathe spins, comment out the line that says "set -xeu", and the fun...

The lparallel kernel API is meant to describe parallelism in a generic manner. The implementation uses a group of worker threads. It is intended to be efficiency-wise comparable to (or faster than) similar hand-rolled solutions while also providing full condition handling and consistency checks. All higher-level constructs in lparallel are implemented on top of the kernel. (For an implementation of the kernel API that distributes across machines, see lfarm .) Kernel-related operations are applied to the cur...

Home README About Me Index RSS Search for: #site-navigation #navbar #masthead .entry-header Following on from the previous dired tips we can do much more in dired. A very powerful feature is that you can switch the dired buffer which lists the files into editable mode. Then you can directly edit file names, links and so on. Here we will look at using dired to rename multiple files in a nice visual way. Now we will use dired to rename multiple files at the same time. Suppose in some directory we have a bunch of files called test_foo_01.dat , test_foo_02.dat , etc and we wanted to rename them to replace foo with bar , then we would do the following: use C-x d to enter dired and choose the directory with the files in use C-x C-q to turn dired into editing mode. You can then edit the file names by hand or use M-% to replace foo with bar in the dired buffer....

CentralNotice From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation , search De Bruijn sequence for k = 2 and n = 2 In combinatorial mathematics , a k -ary De Bruijn sequence B ( k , n ) of order n , named after the Dutch mathematician Nicolaas Govert de Bruijn , is a cyclic sequence of a given alphabet A with size k for which every possible subsequence of length n in A appears as a sequence of consecutive characters exactly once. Each B ( k , n ) has length k n . There are distinct De Bruijn sequences B ( k , n ) . According to de Bruijn, [ 1 ] the existence of De Bruijn sequences for each order together with the above properties were first proved, for the case of alphabets with two elements, by Camille Flye Sainte-Marie in 1894, [ 2 ] whereas the generalization to larger alphabets is originally due to Tanja van Aardenne-Ehrenfest and himself. 1 H...
