Greetings friends, Deconstruct is a software development conference with an unusually personal lineup. I've chosen sixteen of my favorite speakers. They have diverse technical backgrounds and are uniformly excellent. In two days, our speakers will cover a lot of ground both vertically and horizontally. By vertically, I mean analyzing systems at different nested levels of meaning; for example, tracing a bug from its faulty front-end behavior all the way down to individual CPU instructions. By horizontally, I mean analyzing multiple systems at the same level of meaning; for example, understanding overdesigned software systems by analogy to overdesigned cities.
