David Atkins

Computer and Information Science University of Oregon Eugene, OR 97403 email: datkins@uoregon.edu Before returning to academia in 2001, I worked in software research and development at Bell Laboratories for nearly 20 years as well as several years of teaching programming and Unix classes at companies throughout the US and the world. My degrees are in mathematics (BA, College of Wooster and PhD in Ring Theory, University of Kansas ). I spent the academic year 2004-2005 in Cairo, Egypt on the Computer Science faculty at The American University in Cairo . My interests include programming languages and compilers, and version management.
